Your First Sunday
Come As You Are
If you're joining us for the first time, welcome. You don't need to know anything in advance, have a particular spiritual background, or have all the answers.
Our Sunday gatherings are designed to be welcoming, thoughtful, and accessible. Come with curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to explore.
You will be welcomed when you arrive, and members of our team will be available to answer questions and help you feel comfortable.
What Happens on Sunday?
You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out
There is no expectation that you arrive with a particular belief system or spiritual vocabulary.

You are welcome to listen.
You are welcome to participate.
You are welcome to ask questions.
And you are welcome to simply be present.
Our community values respectful exploration rather than having the "right" answers.

We believe meaningful spiritual growth can begin with something as simple as being willing to wonder.
Our Sunday services are approximately one hour and follow a consistent, welcoming structure.
Welcome & Opening
We begin by welcoming everyone, settling into the space, and introducing the theme or focus for the gathering.
Explore, Learn, Practice, or Connect
Approximately 30 minutes of the service is devoted to that Sunday's particular focus. Depending on the week, this may be a community conversation, educational presentation, spiritual practice, or facilitated small-group experience.
Closing
We close our time together with an opportunity for reflection and a transition back into the week. The specific content changes from week to week, but the intention remains the same: to create space to explore, learn, experience, and connect.

Where do I go?
Soulstice Sanctuary currently gathers in a shared space at Bay Area Yoga. We are grateful to have a welcoming place to gather while our church continues to grow toward a future permanent home.

Because we rent the space, you will not see a large Soulstice Sanctuary sign on the building.

The building is a two-story brick building located next to the Prevea building. It is set back from the road rather than directly along the street, so look for the driveway leading back to the building.

From the front, the building can appear to be a single-story ranch-style building. From the back, you will see the lower level and the building's full two-story structure.

Where do I park?
There is a limited amount of parking directly in front of the building.
​
If those spaces are full, an adjacent parking garage is available for overflow parking. Please allow yourself a few extra minutes when arriving for your first visit so you have time to park and find the entrance without feeling rushed.
Children & Families
Children are welcome at Soulstice Sanctuary.

At this time, we do not have a separate childcare or children's program, so children remain with their parent or accompanying adult during Sunday services.
​
We recognize that children are naturally curious, expressive, and sometimes vocal. We simply ask that parents and caregivers be mindful of the shared space and the experience of others.
​
If a child becomes restless or begins talking loudly during a presentation or other portion of the service, we kindly ask that the parent or caregiver step outside the gathering area with them for a few moments. You are always welcome to return when your child is ready.

Our goal is not to exclude children, but to create a space where everyone—children and adults alike—can feel welcome, respected, and able to participate.

Are there bathrooms?
Yes. Restroom facilities are available within the building.

Whether you have a question about the church, the Sunday gathering, membership, our beliefs, or simply where you're supposed to go when you arrive, our team is here to help. You never need to feel embarrassed about being the person who asks.
Where is the entrance?
Soulstice Sanctuary uses the lower-level entrance on the back side of the building. If you're unsure where to go, don't worry. Someone from Soulstice Sanctuary will be available to help welcome you.
What should I wear?
Come in whatever makes you comfortable. There is no formal dress code. We encourage clothing that allows you to sit comfortably and participate in the day's activities.
One More Thing...
We're building something together.
Our current gathering space is part of our beginning—not the final destination. Because we set up and take down our space for each gathering, you may see our community preparing the room before the service or putting things away afterward.

You're welcome to simply arrive and enjoy the experience. But if you find yourself wanting to help, there will always be opportunities to lend a hand.

Every chair set up, every welcome offered, every conversation shared, and every contribution of time or talent helps us build the community we envision.
What should I bring?
Generally, just bring yourself and an open mind. If a particular Sunday requires anything special, we will include that information in the event details on our calendar.

Can I bring food or drinks?
To help us maintain a clean, comfortable, and focused environment, we ask that no food or beverages be brought into the gathering space, with the exception of water in a sealable container.

If you need to have food or another beverage for a specific health or personal reason, please speak with a member of our team in advance so we can help accommodate you appropriately.
